LOS ANGELES— Paint supplier Dunn Edwards has named its 2023 Color of the Year as Terra Rosa, a scorched-earth, approachable hue with rosy, pink tones and a touch of terra-cotta.
 

Terra Rosa is represented in the Life in Poetry color palette within the 2023 Color + Design Trends identified by Dunn–Edwards. According to the company, the Life in Poetry palette is equivalent to a vacation that lasts all year long, embracing a relaxed summertime lifestyle, cherishing imperfections, and creating a cheerful, nostalgic retreat.

This year’s color is one of 2,006 colors in the brand’s designer-preferred Perfect Palette color system. Backed by a team of category experts, Dunn–Edwards provides a range of tools and sampling opportunities to aid customers in color and product selection.

Other colors of the year for 2023 include: Sherwin Williams Redend Point SW 9081, a calming blush-beige that is meant to expand horizons; Better Homes & Gardens Canyon Ridge, a subtle spin on terracotta; Vining Ivy from PPG, a bluish-greenish color that serves up versatile vibes; Behr’s 2023 color of the year, Blank Canvas, a warm white shade; and Apricot Crush, with its soft, sun-bleached quality, from trend forecasting company WGSN and its sister company Coloro.
